ROOT3 in ROOT3 Games represents Unchangeability and Innovation. The mathematical symbol ROOT3 refers to a constant that remains unchanged, symbolizing the discovery of irrational numbers through basic arithmetic operations—a "Eureka" moment. It reflects the company's mission to evolve from imitative games into creating innovative, groundbreaking games.
Since its founding in 2022, ROOT3 Games was selected as a finalist for the 11th Batch that year, validating its technical capabilities. In 2023, the company reached n106 in overall revenue and n5 in genre revenue in the 5th Batch, showcasing the potential of indie developers. Additionally, by releasing the live-action FMV genre game , ROOT3 Games laid the foundation for realizing OSMU potential.
In 2024, building on these achievements, ROOT3 Games signed a contract for the 100 million-view IP Return of the War God with D&C Media and plans to begin development in 2025.
